  I echo the other review, the owners are very nice and talk about the type of food they want to serve you openly. They will tell you how the quality of the ingredients is important to them. I can tell you they live up to what they say. The nachos are amazing! Home made nachos too! Ploughmans is if excellent quality and portion size too. Recommended!

  Don't go in high summer, the wasps are out of control and you cannot sit outside, it's a shame as there is really no great places to drink in the gorge anymore.

  We were firstly attracted to this pub as my partner likes his ale and it was advertising 4 varieties of ale...at 12pm on a sunday they only had 2 ales on!!! Apart from that what a terrible disappointment this pub is. Depressing decor, chair upholstery stained and filthy toilets. As a pub that looks like it should be the jewell in the crown of cheddsr high street it dissppointed on every level. People were walking in and walking straight out! God knows what foreign tourists must think. Come on cheddar tourist board or the brewery/owners, sort this pub out, its an embarrassment to your lovely village!
